- Identity Data: Full name, electoral voter ID number, age, gender and address as they appear on the official Bihar electoral roll.
- Contact Data: Mobile phone number, email address (optional).
- Verification Data: Photographs of your voter ID card (front and back) uploaded during registration.
- Transaction Data: Records of merchant discount transactions, original amounts and calculated savings.
- Usage Data: Videos watched, surveys participated in, referral activity, in-app share events recorded for member tier progress, and campaign engagement events.
- Device Data: Device type, operating system, app version and crash logs for technical support.
- Referral Data: Google Play install referrer codes where applicable.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To verify your identity against the official CEO Bihar / ECI electoral roll before granting access to the Platform.
- To send OTP messages via MSG91 for secure phone-based authentication.
- To process and record merchant discount transactions and calculate your savings.
- To administer our referral programme, member tier recognition, and related digital certificates (including optional survey support certificates).
- To display campaign videos, surveys and community content relevant to your district and block.
- To operate, improve and secure the Platform (fraud prevention, bug fixing, analytics).
- To communicate important updates about your account status, including approval or rejection of your registration.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data on the following legal grounds:
- Consent: You provide explicit consent when registering on the Platform.
- Contractual necessity: Processing required to deliver the services you have requested.
- Legitimate interests: Platform security, fraud prevention and improving the user experience.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- MSG91 — solely for OTP delivery. Only your phone number is transmitted.
- Campaign managers and administrators — who review your voter ID images to approve or reject registration. Access is restricted to authorised personnel.
- Participating merchants — only your anonymised Vijay user identifier is used during QR-based discount transactions; no personal details are shared.
- Law enforcement — when required by applicable Indian law.
6. Voter ID Image Security
Voter ID images you upload are stored on our private VPS storage and are never publicly accessible. Access is restricted to signed, time-limited URLs generated server-side for authorised personnel only. Images are deleted upon account closure on request.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required for legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (see Section 10). Aggregated, anonymised analytics may be retained indefinitely.
8. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection law you have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data.
- Correct inaccurate personal data.
- Request erasure of your personal data.
- Withdraw consent at any time (which will result in account deactivation).
- Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.
9. Cookies and Tracking
The mobile application does not use browser cookies. Google Play Install Referrer SDK is used only to attribute installs to referral links; no third-party advertising networks are used.
