1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using the Vijay App mobile application or any related web services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must immediately stop using the Platform.
2. Eligibility
To use the Platform you must:
- Be a registered voter whose name appears in the official Bihar electoral roll for the covered districts.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Provide a valid Indian mobile phone number for OTP-based verification.
- Upload a genuine, unaltered photograph of your Voter ID card during registration.
Registration may be refused or revoked if eligibility criteria are not met or if fraudulent information is detected.
3. Account Registration and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must:
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
- Not share your OTP, password or account access with any other person.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are found to have been registered with false information, duplicate identities or fraudulent voter IDs.
4. Merchant Discount Programme
Merchant discounts listed on the Platform are provided voluntarily by participating local businesses. Vijay App:
- Does not guarantee the availability, accuracy or continuity of any discount.
- Is not a party to any transaction between you and a merchant.
- Does not handle any monetary payments between users and merchants.
The Platform records discount transactions solely for the purpose of tracking your savings. All disputes regarding discounts must be resolved directly with the merchant.
5. Referrals, Member Tiers and Certificates
The Platform may recognise your participation through member tiers (Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Elite) and digital certificates. These rules apply:
- Silver: You are assigned the Silver tier when your voter registration is approved and your account is verified.
- Higher tiers: Gold and above are earned when you meet configured thresholds based on either the number of referred users who complete voter verification or the number of in-app share actions you complete, as described in the app. Thresholds may change; the in-app programme description prevails.
- Share actions: When you successfully use the system share sheet from the app, we may record a share event to credit your tier progress. Events are subject to reasonable rate limits to prevent abuse.
- Survey certificates: Supporting certain campaign surveys may generate a separate participation certificate where enabled by the campaign.
- Only referrals who successfully complete voter verification and account activation count toward referral-based tier progress.
- Tier and campaign certificates are non-transferable, for personal recognition only, and have no monetary or prize value.
- Manipulating referrals, share reporting or verification through fake accounts or automated means is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent account termination.
6. Campaign Content and Political Disclosure
Vijay App is a campaign-support platform operated by a political candidate's campaign team. All videos, surveys and content published on the Platform are produced by or on behalf of the campaign. This Platform constitutes a political communication under the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines.
Users acknowledge that content on this Platform may reflect the views of the campaign and does not represent the views of any government body or ECI.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Register with another person's voter identity or create duplicate accounts.
- Upload forged, altered or fraudulent voter ID documents.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack or disrupt the Platform or its APIs.
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, including violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during election periods.
- Harass other users, merchants or campaign staff through the Platform.
- Scrape, copy or redistribute voter data accessed through the Platform.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including the Vijay logo, wordmark, design, videos and campaign materials, is owned by or licensed to the campaign team and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute any Platform content without prior written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vijay App and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of data, loss of savings or merchant transaction disputes. The Platform is provided "as is" without any warranty of uptime or uninterrupted service.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, fraudulent conduct or at our sole discretion. You may request account deletion by contacting the campaign team.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bihar, India.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via an in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform following such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
